The first time in the place, and blew my mind.
It's like a red neck Wawa, or a hillbilly 7-11, if you will.
It’s the only gas station I’ve ever seen that sells meat smokers, deer pellets (whatever the fuck that is) and has its own clothing line.
With over 50 locations, mostly in Texas, Buc-ee's has a little something for everyone. If the wall of jerky doesn’t blow your hair back, the “cleanest restrooms in America” certainly will.
The freshly made brisket sandwiches are a must for a first timer. In the center of every location there is a circle counter where employees are making and chopping fresh brisket. Every time a new batch of brisket is ready the employees yell “Fresh Brisket on the board” and the customers cheer. A true dirtbag call and response - and I participate every time. They offer sliced and chopped brisket sandwiches. I would recommend the chopped sandwich and wash it down with a screaming cold DC. But hey, that's just me.
Next you’re gonna want to head over to the clothing department.
Yep - they have a full-blown clothing store in the gas station.
Every time I’m there I gotta grab something. You can't go wrong with the classic light grey Buc-ee’s logo hoodie or tee.
When you wear it in public you will get the nod of approval from other dirtbags who are in the know. (Or get a Garbage tee if you're not near a Buc-ee's -- howyadern!)
A trip to Buc-ee's wouldn't be complete without grabbing a bag of their Beaver Nuggets before hitting the checkout.
One of the iconic snacks of the gas station, they’re sweet, caramel-coated puffed corn snacks that are highly addictive. Plus, what's classier than eating a snack named after a rodent?
