5 Cigarette Cases & the Dirtbags that Owned Them

Teddy Swims stopped by Tuddy's!

We talked about his music, his fashion, and most importantly, his varied garbage roots.

He brought up a specific memory of a cigarette case, and boy if that didn't trigger a Dirtbag memory... We decided to dig into

5 Cigarette Cases & the Dirtbags that Owned Them

1. The Classy Broad

The lady that carried the above cig case was a CLASSY BROAD - for a Dirtbag, anyway.

She is the the President of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and she know exactly which fork to use with this appetizer.

She's old school, and MEAN - especially when she used to babysit you because your mom couldn't find anyone else.

She had perfectly coiffed hair, and likely a matching skirt suit at all times.

It also matches her nails.

And her cigarette cough.

2. The Flip-Top Tin

The man that carried this worked for every penny he's ever spent...

He keeps his burnies in this pouch for protection.  He is a man with a plan, and has learned to prevent any and all possible incidents.

Destroy his cigs? Not on his watch...  If the military taught him one thing, it was to be prepared.

On occasion this guy may even smoke a corn-cob pipe at night, looking out over his property...

He may have grown up during the Great Depression, and he won't let you forget it.

They don't make them like him, anymore.

3. The Snip-Top Faux-Leather Pouch

The pouch that launched 1000 ships...

The lady that carries this, likely worked as a waitress at the Diner attached to the Kmart in the 1990s...

Nowadays she likes to go to charter those coach bus trips to the the Casino to "see if she can get lucky".

And she definitely made a spectacular ambrosia salad for the church's Summer picnic.

I can literally SMELL this photo...

(Maybe it was Tuddy...)

And yes, you can still buy these new, today.

4. The 1990s Camel Dirtbag

This was a cool guy cigarette case...

Soft and pliable, they became a part of his personality.

He definitely wore those Oakley-esque all the time... and usually upside down, on the back of his head, because he needs his full eyesight for the task at hand.

He may have also worn one of those metal necklaces that had thick beads or chains attached together on a wax string.

He pours cement for a living and drives a coupe convertible - with fabric seats.

5. The Seaman

This guy FUC*S!

He almost definitely has a boat (or two) that are docked on a man-made lake.

He's always wearing flip flops, he has one of those tribal arm-band tattoos, and his favorite beer is IC Lite - or Guinness when he's feeling classy.

He has never been married - or if he was, it was incredibly brief...

But he's always good to rally on a Wednesday.

Do youse carry a cigarette case? What are some from your childhoods?
